Hydrotesting
Speed Gas is a registered & Australian approved cylinder test station. This enables us to legally test and verify a cylinder’s status and stamp them for reuse for another period (of approximately 10 years).
A hydrostatic test is used to test the pressure strength of the cylinder, ensuring no leaks or faults will occur when used in a real-world application.
Many gas cylinders require frequent hydrostatic testing as per Australian standards 2030.1 – 2009. Ensure all your organisation or businesses cylinders are within the required date for testing or get in contact with us for a test. Not only does this prevent hazardous leaks but it also ensures your cylinders will be functioning at maximum performance. These standards also apply to items such as fire extinguishers etc.
The process confirms the pressure, strength, and safety capabilities of each cylinder so that they can be stamped and used for another period (with further testing at regular intervals).
